ABOUT THIRTY DEGREES

If Steve Winwood and Alison Krauss had a love child, the voice would be that of Ben Demerath. Demerath's influences come from contemporary Americana, bluegrass and pop with a tinge of jazz. “The Heart Doesn’t Know” starts with an impressionistic electric guitar and soothing light beat then leads to a song about love lost and the pain of goodbyes. “Can’t Find My Way Home/Broken Arrow” is a medley of two masterful songwriters – Steve Winwood and Robbie Robertson – where Ben captures their voices while making these two songs his own. The artists contributing to “Thirty Degrees” include the best of session players with enormous talent and imagination.
